Departure for DC

Today was my last day in Michigan. I left for DC with my dad around 10:30am and it took us 10 hours to drive from Bloomfield Hills to Herndon, VA where my cousin Joe lives. The drive was mostly boring, and I tried to stay clear from cops. Ohio was surprisingly easy and cop free. I packed 3 bags and have a ton of stuff. I'll have to consolidate while I'm here in DC though. Tomorrow I'm off to the German Embassy for "The Cultural Impact of Change" Event. There will be free food and I hope to meet a couple of the people on my program.

Here are some pictures of my bags, and how full the car was.
Saying good bye to my mom and the dogs.
The back seat was pretty much full. It definitely couldn't be used as a seat.
The remaining space is all that my dad got for his luggage. I felt a little guilty, but at least we're saving money since we're driving and there are no overages for overweight and 3 pieces of luggage.
