As best as possible, at least. I've packed my bag, picked my clothes, showered (it's a process now with the broken collarbone), gathered all the necessary documents that I need, and I've figured how I'm getting to the airport tomorrow.
All this in preparation for my 5 month internship at Lufthansa. I will be working in Commercials (think PR) and Development (think infrastructure) at the Frankfurt Hub. My boss is the director of this department, and I'll be working along side him on a couple of issues.
Lufthansa's headquarters are located on the premises of the Frankfurt Airport. Getting the internship was not easy, and you have to have connections in order to intern for Lufthansa. It's a very prestigious thing in Germany, and I'm quite fortunate to have these connections through my host family.
Per my contract, I am required to work 37.5 hours per week, and I will be renumerated 1.82 vacation days per month. I will also receive a 3 figure salary :). I'm not sure of my other benefits, but I'm definitely excited about my prospects here, and I hope that this work experience will be invaluable in my search for a permanent position.
I let you know how my first day goes!
